Previous Round Winner: Much to this judge's surprise, Doc came out on top.  Dr.Manhattan doesn't need to delete Slenderman (based on the arguments provided), he just needs to delete the part of his mind with it in it.  However, other characters might believe him back in to the tournament later...

Brackets for Tournament #1

Okay, all of the tournament is ready!  I just need to post the full brackets.  I have decided to do this in an image file. So here we have it folks!  I copied and pasted this from excel because it was too much of a pain in the butt to make it into an image or anything.
Please send me your copy of it by means of an excel file or a picture or just copy and paste this with your choices and send it my way!  If someone actually manages to pick enough matches, I'll come up with some sort of prize. ^_^

Still taking more characters either here or on the other post, but these three sets have made the list for certain...

First, someone mentioned MacGyver and I could only wonder how in the world I had missed him in the first place!

Second, I was thrilled at the suggestion for a bunch of Harrison Ford characters so I've decided that I will put in a 1980's combo Ford character...he's part Han Solo, part Rick Deckard, and part Indiana Jones...
As a prototype Ford character with Three parts he will simply be known as Mongrel T!

And third, I just saw this...

So Cornholio will be in the tournament!!! (He needs TP for his bunghole, apparently.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting some questions here.  These are the answers.

• Do I need a blog or something to participate in the tournament?

No, you do not need to have a blog to sign up.  Just an email from Google, Yahoo, Twitter, Open ID, AIM or Netlog.  If you don't have one, get a google one, it's easy and you can synchronize it with your personal or other email if you want.

• What is a Quick Match? 

 A Quick Match is by vote only and it is just something to keep you busy while the other rounds are happening.  It has no discussion or comments area, but results will be posted in the main section once in a while after the vote is completed.  Feel free to comment then on the results, but it isn't an on going match at that point.

• Where are the participation for the matches happening?

Each match will happen as a post in the blog.  The actual participation will occur in the comments section.  Comments posted outside of their appropriate section will not be counted in the tournament.

• Where can I post suggestions for characters?

Before each tournament, there will be a section for characters.  To successfully post a character, you must post it in the appropriate character listing.  For some help, click on the "Characters" tag at the bottom of the home page.

• What is the direct link to the main site?

WELCOME TO THE NEW TOURNAMENT!!!!

Hey guys, this is a new blog created for the purpose of the ultimate geek concept.  We further the "Who would win in a fight?" question to new levels and with your support and the support of your friends, we can have some truly epic battles! 

I fully intend to put the winners in that box on the upper right for the first 7 tournaments. ^_^


Rules for this tournament:

1. Characters will be selected by the blogger (Rafe F).
2. Placement on the tournament set will be done at random. 
3. Before each match is posted, a location will be given.  The location is not to be breached by the fighters during the time of the fight.
4. No preparation time is permitted to the fighters.
5. Should a character's main source of power be that of manipulating others (Armies, followers, etc.), then they can only access them from the location of the battle.  If they have the ability to summon them, that can pass.
6. Omniscience and omnipresence are omitted for the purpose of a fair fight.  
7. If a character has multiple time periods or situations, use them all to your advantage.  This is to say, no limit as to which version of the character will be made formally before their first match, but once a character has won a match due to said version, they will carry on that version in the rest of the tournament.  This will be ultimately decided by the blogger.
8. Each battle begins exactly when it is posted.  It will last precisely 48 hours from the time it is posted. 
9. Overturn chances will occur at the end of each full round.  In other words, after the first 32 matches, there will be 48 hours for an overturn round.  All overturn attempts must be posted in the overturn section.
10. Rules subject to change at anytime.
